Globalcomm pics - smaller conference, same topics

Just back from Globalcomm.  There's been a lot of comment in telecom newsletters, so I'll be brief.  The organizers announced 17,200 cumulative attendance as of Wednesday morning, but many of those people must have come for just one or two days, mainly Tuesday.  Monday and Wednesday traffic was very low. Here's a view of the show floor on Wednesday around 11:30am.

There's another view here.  I had a good set of meetings, so it was worth it for me.  But globally, the hot topics were the same as Supercomm last year, led by IP TV to support fixed line operators getting into triple or quadruple play, with IMS a close second.  Very US centric although there were a few Asian and EU participants.
